Job Description

OEP Building Services are a manufacturer and supplier of bespoke and high quality products. This includes bathroom & utility pods, furniture and timber frame buildings. We have contracts and dealings with both small independent clients as well as large blue-chip property developers.

What are we looking for?

As part of our continuing growth, we are currently looking to recruit a Graduate or Trainee Quantity Surveyor, to work within the Contracts Team within our Lancaster based office. The role will involve, but not be limited to the following tasks;

  • Analyse project pricing documents, setting up budgets on accounts system and passing to Purchasing Department
  • Produce month end invoices and applications for payment and issue to Main / Principle Contractor
  • Forecast cash flow and income
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and direct labour, managing their progress and payments with Accounts department
  • Monitor costs on defect works with the customer care department
  • Assist and help in collating commercial information for monthly Cost Value Reconciliations
  • Set up project files on internal systems with all information for manufacture including build programmes and delivery schedules
  • Monitor, manage and provide input to commercial project management documents on internal systems
  • Liaise with site managers with regards to any issues following delivery of pods and furniture
  • Attend project meetings across the UK with Contracts Team if required
  • Assisting with all aspects of the business across the different departments and all other office based duties as required.
  • Produce reports for Operations Manager and Directors

Salary: £20,000.00 to £23,000.00 /year

Qualifications / Experience / Requirements:

  • Hold a BA or BSC in Quantity Surveying or similar degree in construction (preferred)
  • Working towards the above (minimum requirement) 
  • CSCS card (preferred) 
  • Driving license would be preferable but not required as most of our projects are accessed via train
  • One years experience working for a construction company or contractor (preferred)
