About Us

Ecus has an exceptional opportunity for a highly experienced Construction Project Manager within its newly developed Environmental Contracting division.

We have delivered habitat creation and management works as part of the consultancy business for the past 15 years.  In 2018 we set up our new Environmental Contracting division, which has allowed for the organic growth of the company based on customer demand and loyalty.   A rapid growth area for the business, this is an exciting time to join Ecus. 


The Role

This exciting opportunity requires an individual with a demonstrable track record in Project / Site Management likely within civils/construction sector with experience of environmental, habitat creation, landscaping, forestry or groundworks projects.

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role within the business with excellent opportunities to progress over the next 3-5 years.  Ensuring all client's requirements are met and each project is completed on time and within budget, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met, whilst monitoring sub-contractors, and taking responsibility for accounting, costing and billing. 

The duties will include:

  • Management of multiple projects through tender, delivery and sign off stages
  • Liaising with internal / external customers
  • Ensuring clients are kept aware of project early warnings and variations
  • Resourcing subcontractors and internal resource
  • Overseeing and managing Site managers and teams
  • Developing and implementing management plans on projects and Construction Phase Plans
  • Leading / motivating multiple project delivery teams
  • Managing project budgets
  • Maintaining communications with stakeholders


Desirable Skills & Experience 

  • Detailed knowledge of H&S and CDM regulations
  • Project management experience on schemes in the habitat creation, forestry, ground engineering, groundworks, earthworks or GI / GS / SI sectors
  • Knowledge of JCT / NEC construction contracts
  • Experience of working in Rail and/or infrastructure environments
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, or other industry recognised certifications
  • PTS
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant design software
  • Full driving licence
