Plans submitted for London's highest building

A development request has been lodged with the City of London Corporation to construct the highest tower in the London City .

Design from Eric Parry architects chart the destruction of the headquarters of insurance giant Aviva to produce a 73-storey tower

It will mount to 309.6m – placing it level with the Shard

Singapore-based creators Aroland Holdings commissioned architect Eric Parry to work up a design for the site which has now been presented for planning certification.

The 90,000 sq m building would be able to house 10,000 inhabitants and provides a viewing platform superior than that of  London’s sky restaurant.

It would rest 28m superior than the alternative skyscraper for the Pinnacle scheme at Bishopsgate.

If approved it will provide long term construcion jobs in London
