What is required Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are recruiting for a Lead Electrical Engineer to be based on projects in Dublin. Your Responsibilities Manage the Project Electrical Engineering Team, assign tasks, oversee engineering development Interrogate the project design and identify Value Engineering Solutions Manage Drawing Production and Delivery Process Manage the Technical Submittal Delivery Process Review Technical Submittals Prior to Submission for Approval Liaise with vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors, specialist designers, manufacturers, etc. with respect to the specification, validation and value Engineering of products and equipment to be supplied to the project Manage the RFI process, seeking to clarify queries with the design team Develop and build project cable and cable termination schedules Seek to clarify queries with the design team through the request for information (RFI) system Liaise and co-ordinate with clients other members of the design team and contractors on technical and commercial issues Liaise and co-ordinate with clients other members of the design team and contractors on technical and commercial issues Lead Pre-Construction Engineering activities and the production of information including, design development, construction details, technical submittals, sub-contracts, etc Lead, services co-ordination exercises and solve co-ordination issues Provide technical support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, marketing and construction teams Attend Weekly Progress Meetings Attend and Lead Weekly Coordination Meetings What you need to have Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services Proactive with a strong ability to work independently and without supervision Minimum 8-10 years previous experience within the construction industry is desirable Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Knowledge & experience of current EN and IEC Standards Knowledge & experience of NEN Standards is advantageous Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are required Experience in Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD and MS Office Suite Software Good knowledge and proficiency in using Navisworks suite of tools Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy What you get in return Excellent working environment Latest available training to assist you in your role Competitive Salary Work for a highly driven organisation that prides itself on delivery of service and customer satisfaction.
